CORRECTLY STRINGING BADMINTON RACKETS
There is a large selection of high-quality synthetic strings today. They have a multifilament structure, which means that many individual fibers are wound around a core.
In addition to the material, the strength or thickness of the string influences the flight behavior of the shuttlecocks. Thinner strings promise better acceleration and feel when hit. But they also tear faster. Beginners can start with thicker strings because the subtleties are not as important for them - and because thicker strings are more durable.
The next decision has to be made regarding the covering hardness. Basically, it is said that more defensive players like to raise only 8 - 10kg, while more offensive players like to play with a string weight of 9 - 12kg. There are even professionals who play with up to 14 kg, because the harder covering helps them to further increase the precision of the stroke.
Unfortunately, the harder the covering, the shorter its durability. In addition, harder covering places a greater strain on the blow elbow, the shoulder and the material of the frame.
