Victor Light Fighter
Victor Light Fighter Serie: the Modelle Thruster 30 F, Auraspeed 40 D and Drive X 60 E in the Test
According to the manufacturer, the high-quality "New Ultralight Frame" made of High Modulus Graphite makes the extraordinary lightness of this series of under 79 g possible.
In order to find out which type of player the individual models are aimed at, we decided to conduct a comparative test of the Victor Thruster Light Fighter 30 F, Victor Auraspeed Light Fighter 40 D and the Victor Drive X Light Fighter 60 E models.
As always, our practice test went over a few weeks to get used to the specification of the different rackets of the Victor Light Fighter series. This was not about any laboratory measurements, but about the very personal impression that each tester gained of the tested rackets on the badminton court. By the way, all test rackets were uniformly strung with the VICTOR VBS 63 at 24 lbs in order to be able to concentrate fully on the frame characteristics.
The rating was again in the categories "handling", "feel/ball control", "power" and "forgives inaccurate hitting", all on a scale from 1 star (hardly applies) to 5 stars (fully applies).
Victor Thruster Light Fighter 30 F
First impression: the Thruster Light Fighter 30 F feels like a natural extension of the hand, and in the practical test it immediately becomes clear that its top-heaviness releases power, which, however, requires a somewhat higher effort due to the overall low weight - despite the quite flexible shaft with whip effect. The low weight helps in handling and especially in fast defence. The forgiveness is average. The Thruster Light Fighter 30 F scores above average in terms of ball feel and control in the net to half court area. In fast and precise play in the front court, the racket performed quite well with our test team.
Verdict: For hobby and recreational players who have higher goals, the Thruster Light Fighter 30 F is a good synthesis of power and manoeuvrability. Especially doubles players will get their money's worth. As stringing hardness we recommend 21 to 23 lbs.

Victor Auraspeed Light Fighter 40 D
Thanks to its slightly top-heavy balance and the medium stiff shaft, the Auraspeed Light Fighter 40 D provides a secure ball feel with good control and scores with the best handling characteristics in the entire test field. It was particularly popular with the ladies of the BADLAB "Test Team". In the practice test it becomes clear that it was developed for a fast game with a lot of speed and power. Our testers rated the resulting advantages of speed and fast flexible movements as good, especially in the "drive" and in defence. Even if the ball is not hit exactly, it still finds its target and receives an above-average rating in the forgiveness discipline.
Verdict: A good racquet for advanced recreational players who still have room for improvement, are looking for a higher quality in defence and at net and are seeking improved stroke speed, especially for doubles and mixed. If you place a lot of value on a high stringing stiffness, the Auraspeed Light Fighter 40 D is the best choice, as it can be loaded up to 30 lbs. Our tip is to start with 23-25 lbs.

Victor Drive X Light Fighter 60 E
With a frame weight of only 78 g, the Light Fighter 60 E is the heaviest and most top-heavy racket among the lightweights in our test series. However, the resulting extra power is offset by the slightly stiffer shaft. On the other hand, the Drive X Light Fighter 60 E offers the greatest degree of control in the test field. Our testers from the BADLAB "Test Team" agreed that the excellent ball feel associated with this is the highlight of the racket. The good handling in defence is again based on the "lightness" of the Light Fighter series and thus ensures an above-average positive rating here as well.
Verdict: The Victor Drive X Light Fighter 60 E is a high-quality and easy-to-play racquet with all-round qualities. We recommend this racquet to advanced and demanding players who want to manage their power and prefer a powerful attacking game without sacrificing good control in doubles or mixed. We recommend 24 lbs for experienced and technically skilled players.

Conclusion: All 3 test rackets of the Lighter Fighter series are above average in weight and more or less top heavy. A very exciting concept, which rewards the front court with controlled pressure - but lacks some punch from the baseline. But for this weight class, the Light Fighters still have enough power when smashing. In all three test results it becomes clear that the focus here is on speed of handling and ball feel, which brings us back to the initial question: What type of player is the Victor Light Fighter Series aimed at? Clearly, first and foremost doubles and mixed players. If you find yourself in this category, you have the perfect choice in the Victor Light Fighter series. Finally, we would like to mention that the female testers in particular gave the concept of the Light Fighter series an above-average positive rating.
The test team of the "BADminton LABoratory" consists of highly ambitious recreational players up to league level, who train 1-2 times a week.
